If You Are A Lost Fan, You Might Like Netflix’s New Series, The I-Land
The first thoughts you might have after watching the trailer for Netflix’s latest show are what genre is it? A drama? A dystopian show? Science fiction? There are no clear answers which makes the show all so intriguing. Reminiscent of the popular Tom Hanks film, Cast Away or more recently, the popular show Lost, the setting seems similar but even more darker than Lost was. The I-Land stars actress Kate Bosworth who also produced the show.

Lost was about a group of survivors of a plane crash who land up on a deserted island and who have to fight for survival. Netflix’s I-Land takes the plot even further. A group of people wake up on a mysterious island with no memory whatsoever about how they got there and as a viewer, you can’t help but think: have they fallen prey to some horrible social experiment? What’s stranger is that they are all dressed identically. Is it survival of the fittest or are greater powers at play?

The trailer gets exponentially worse for the group and you begin fearing for their lives. They battle storms and also feuds amongst themselves. The island itself seems to have mysteries of its own. An observer of the group also ominously says, “if you do something wrong, the island pays you back.” In another chilling scene, a couple of them come face to face with a shark.

What is this payback? What are the dangers that await them? Will they or any of them make it out alive? Who is behind this whole mess? We will find out today as the series hits Netflix screens worldwide and we can’t wait to see what turn this one takes!
